Maeva®: Emotional and Sensorial Brand Experience Design
The sense of smell is considered to be one of the most emotionally potent human senses. Scents have the power to trigger nostalgia and emotions but the concept seems to remain widely unexplored in the Indian luxury home fragrance industry. The brand development proposal for Maeva® provides direction for new marketing and design strategies both online and offline that can enhance the overall emotional brand experience thus promoting brand attachment and loyalty. The strategy was derived from a study based on the exploration of the connection between olfactory stimulation, nostalgia and emotions. The research resulted in the development of eleven nostalgic fragrances that can trigger Indian childhood memories.
